Hotel Lava Beach

Stayed here with husband and our teenagers (boy 13 / girl 17) over the Feb break - we (all of us!) had a really relaxing week in beautiful surroundings and have already booked for next year - and my parents have booked for October! Hotel rooms and public areas super-clean and well maintained; room amenities excellent with really well appointed terraces. Food, service and entertainment great. Location top notch too being really close to restaurants and bars - with a private gate leading to the esplanade and the beach. Very reasonable taxi fares to airport, old town, Arrecife. Absolutely no complaints and would highly recommend.

Beautiful hotel, the hotel itself is a lovely modern design with well laid out gardens and pools. There are also externally a tennis court, mini golf, pool bar and spa. Internally it has an excellent restaurant, bars, great spa facilities and nice spacious reception area. The food has been wide ranging and of a high standard during our stay. The staff have been professional, helpful and courteous. The rooms are well equipped and have large balconies. Beach access from the hotel is fabulous and it also has large beach beds inside overlooking the sea. It is in an excellent location - the centre of the town is somewhat overly touristy and downtrodden, the area local to the hotel is of a higher standard with a great selection of eateries and bars. I would totally recommend this hotel and hope to return in the future.

Just returned from a lovely stay at this hotel. Food, service, rooms, staff and amenities were top class. When the hotel manager tries to welcome and get to know residents and also helps out serving it certainly sets a very good example of customer care. All staff were very attentive and welcoming but a special mention for Antonio, Nikki and Johnathan who went out of their way to look after us. We had a lovely holiday thank you.

This is probably best service we got in a hotel anywhere in a while. Even for breakfast, where waiting staff usually doesn’t get tipped so service is not at its best. Service in this hotel is absolutely superb. The strongest point by far. Second strongest point is immaculate cleanliness- seriously the hotel is incredibly clean! Location is third strongest point, really nicely located at the miles long beach and close to bars and restaurants. The only three reasons why I didn’t rate it a pure five star is because of the two separate beds pulled together without a mini mattress on top, makes it quite estranged with your spouse, especially if you’re there for the anniversary (which was specified). Secondly, coffee in the room is charged for after you drink first 6 capsules, which makes no sense in a five star hotel with a 300€+ room rate. One morning we ordered extra capsules and waited a full hour before they were delivered. Last but not least, the view was sadly one of the worst we have seen. It is called a park view but it really was a parking view. All in all, I highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again, with a sea view.
